One person has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a motorbike and an Audi in Gateshead. A police investigation has been launched following the collision, which happened on Monday night on Cooperative Terrace in Felling.
Collision details
At around 7.15pm, a Supermoto motorcycle collided with an Audi car. No-one is reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries, but one person was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Police statement
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Just after 7.15pm last night (Monday), we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Cooperative Terrace in Felling, Gateshead. It was reported that a Supermoto motorcycle has collided with an Audi car.
“Emergency services attended, and the road was closed for a short time whilst the vehicles involved were recovered. No-one is reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries, however those involved were taken to hospital for further treatment. Officers have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.”
Emergency response and appeal
