Nine individuals have sustained injuries in a shooting incident near England's World Cup base in Kansas City, Missouri. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to Troost Avenue shortly after 4am on Saturday following reports of gunfire.

The location is a short drive from the training facility and hotel where the England squad will be stationed during the tournament. Authorities confirmed that officers arrived to find a large crowd dispersing after shots were fired. Three women were wounded and transported to a hospital for treatment. All injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The shooting occurred on Troost Avenue at approximately 4am, near the England squad's training headquarters at Swope Soccer Village, southeast of the city.
