British Transport Police have interviewed a man in connection with an incident on the London Underground where a naked passenger exposed himself and was subsequently assaulted by fellow commuters. The incident occurred on a Hammersmith and City line train at around 3:30pm on Thursday, near Upton Park station.
Footage shows the suspect dropping his trousers and repeatedly shouting obscenities when challenged. Up to four passengers intervened, leading to a physical altercation where the naked man was punched, kicked, and thrown off the train at East Ham station. He was later detained under the Mental Health Act and remains in hospital.
Police confirmed that the man was initially arrested by an off-duty officer before being sectioned. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made in relation to the assault. Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them via text on 61016, quoting reference 458 of 07/08/25.
