Shanice Brookes, a 30-year-old mother-of-one, has been identified as the woman fatally shot outside a Sheffield bar in the early hours of Monday morning. Police have described Ms Brookes as an 'innocent bystander' who was near the One Four One bar on West Street when the incident occurred.
Family Tribute
Her family released a statement, remembering her as an 'amazing mum' with an 'infectious laugh' who worked for a local charity and was pursuing a university degree. They expressed their devastation and called for justice.
Arrests Made
Three individuals – two men aged 30 and a 32-year-old woman – have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting. They remain in police custody as investigations continue.
Police Appeal
Assistant Chief Constable Colin McFarlane appealed to the public for information, urging anyone who witnessed the event or knows those responsible to come forward. He emphasised that the victim was an innocent person caught up in a violent incident.
South Yorkshire Police are conducting extensive inquiries and have increased patrols in the area to reassure the community. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
