A shooting at a home in Billings, Montana, sparked a fire and left one person dead and another injured, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at a residence in the 1700 block of Avenue D. Police and fire crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting and a structure fire.
Upon arrival, officers found one person dead inside the home. Another person was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, officials said.
