Former Neighbours Star's Ex-Boyfriend Sentenced to Prison for Home Intrusion

A male model who was previously in a relationship with Neighbours actress Bonnie Anderson has been jailed after unlawfully entering his ex-girlfriend's residence and climbing into her bed. Brenton Goldsack, aged 37, was arrested on Tuesday following the incident, which occurred less than 24 hours after he was released from prison.

Details of the Offence and Court Proceedings

According to reports from the Herald Sun, Goldsack let himself into the home of a woman he had previously been in a relationship with and proceeded to lie down in her bedroom. The property was unoccupied at the time, but the victim observed his entry via a security camera and promptly contacted the police. Goldsack had just completed a three-month sentence for assaulting the same woman prior to this offence.

Represented by a Legal Aid lawyer at Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, Goldsack pleaded guilty to the charges. His defence argued that he had 'foolishly' gone to the woman's home in an attempt to apologise to her. However, Magistrate John Hardy strongly rejected this explanation.

Magistrate's Stern Rebuke and Sentencing

Magistrate Hardy stated, 'I don't think you were foolish, I think you were arrogant. You have literally just been released yesterday.' He emphasised that Goldsack's actions constituted 'flagrant' offending and noted that it was 'just pure happy luck' the victim was not present when he entered the property. Consequently, Goldsack was sentenced to 28 days in prison.

Background on Brenton Goldsack and Bonnie Anderson

Brenton Goldsack was last romantically linked to Bonnie Anderson in 2020. The pair reportedly connected during Melbourne's Covid-19 lockdowns while walking their dogs. At the time, Anderson, who won The Masked Singer in September 2020, described their relationship positively, stating they were 'happy' together and that Goldsack inspired her to be her best self.

However, by March 2021, Anderson had moved on and began dating Matthew Bushby. She later announced her engagement to Samuel Morrison in April 2022, and the couple married in Victoria in November 2023. They have since welcomed two sons, Bobby in 2022 and Teddy in 2025. Anderson has had no recent association with Goldsack for several years.

This case highlights serious concerns regarding repeat offending and the safety of individuals following the end of relationships. The judicial response underscores the gravity of such intrusive actions, particularly when they occur shortly after a prior conviction.
