A man who had been missing for eight days has been found safe and well, police have confirmed.
The 52-year-old was last seen on Durham Street in Elswick, Newcastle, at around 1pm on Saturday May 30. Northumbria Police had appealed for information to locate him, referring to him as 'John' without providing a surname.
In an update, the force confirmed that he has now been found safe and well. Officers thanked the public for their assistance in the search.
