Police have confirmed that a mother and her baby, who were reported missing from the Brecon area in Wales, have been found safe and well. Dyfed-Powys Police had launched an appeal for information on 38-year-old Louise and her infant, who were last seen in the Brecon area.
The force described Louise as approximately 5ft 2in tall with a slim build, and noted that she has connections to the Neath area in Swansea. This was not the first time the pair had gone missing; they were previously reported missing last month but were located following a police appeal.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: 'Louise and her baby were previously missing; however they were located following our appeal. This is a new appeal as they are currently missing. We are appealing for any information that will help us to locate them safe and well.' The force declined to release Louise's surname, citing policy.
The disappearance occurred amid ongoing searches for another missing mother in North Yorkshire. Victoria Taylor, 34, was last seen at her home in Malton on Monday morning and was captured on CCTV buying a soft drink at a local BP garage two hours later. Her sisters have pleaded for her return, and police divers have been searching a river in the area.
Inspector Leanne Anderson from North Yorkshire Police stated: 'There are a range of enquiries taking place to try and locate Victoria. This is still a missing person enquiry, and the focus of our activity is within the Malton / Norton area.' Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings.
