Police have launched an urgent search for Claire Bennett, a 49-year-old mother who disappeared in Cornwall on Monday. Her handbag was found in a park near a viaduct in Truro, heightening concerns for her safety.
Ms Bennett, from St Austell, was last heard from at around 1:30pm, with the last confirmed sighting at 3:24pm leaving Truro Train Station. She is believed to still be in the Truro area.
Her daughter made a heartfelt plea for her return, saying: 'Mum, if you read this please come home. We aren't mad at you and we all bloody love you! You win at hide and seek. Just even send me a message to tell me you're OK. We can get through this. I promise. I love you.'
Devon and Cornwall Police described Ms Bennett as white, 5ft 10ins tall, slim, with blonde hair usually worn loose. She was last seen wearing a white top, black cardigan and blue jeans.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 999 quoting log 610 of 11 August.
