Missing 15-Year-Old Boy Not Seen Since Entering Lincoln Lake

A 15-year-old boy has been missing since entering the water at Swanholme Lakes nature reserve in Lincoln on Sunday afternoon, prompting a large-scale search by emergency services.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the scene at 2:30pm on May 24 following reports that a boy was in difficulty in the water. Despite immediate efforts by members of the public and responding emergency services, the teenager has not yet been located.

Search Efforts Underway

The force's underwater search team has been deployed to assist in the operation, and officers have informed the boy's family. A police spokesperson said: "We have very sad news to share, that a 15-year-old boy has not been seen since entering the water at Swanholme Lakes in Lincoln, this afternoon."

"Emergency services were called to the area at 2.30pm on Sunday 24 May, following reports of a boy getting into trouble in the water. Despite the very best efforts of people at the lake and the emergency services who arrived on scene, the boy has not yet been located."

Appeal for Information

Police have urged the public not to speculate or share unverified information. "It is vitally important that people do not speculate or share information that is not accurate. Information that the boy has been found at this time is wrong. We will update our information when we can," the spokesperson added.

The search continues as officers and specialist teams comb the lake. The community is asked to respect the family's privacy during this difficult time.
