Emergency services are searching Swanholme Lakes nature reserve in Lincoln for a 15-year-old boy who has not been seen since entering the water on Sunday afternoon (May 24).
Police were called to the scene at 2.30pm following reports that a boy had got into difficulty in the water. Despite the efforts of members of the public and emergency services, the boy has not yet been located.
Lincolnshire Police's underwater search team is continuing the search, and officers have informed the boy's family. A police statement described the situation as "very sad news" and urged the public not to speculate or share inaccurate information.
The force emphasised that reports claiming the boy has been found are incorrect and said updates will be provided when possible.
