Six people, including a suspected gunman, have died after a series of shootings in Michigan, police said. Officers found three people dead at a home in Missaukee County before launching a manhunt for 39-year-old Chad Hickman. A fourth body was later discovered, and the gunman was found dead in a wooded area alongside another victim.

Police response and warning

Police issued an 'avoid area' warning as they searched for the suspect. Lt Ashley Miller, a police spokesperson, said: "This situation is heartbreaking for the community and challenging for the investigators involved."

Investigation ongoing

Miller added: "We remain committed to conducting a thorough investigation and will provide updates as new information becomes available." The investigation is ongoing.
