At least 15 individuals have been transported to hospital following a suspected boat explosion at a Miami beach on Saturday. The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue department responded to reports of a possible boat explosion at Haulover Beach around 1 p.m. local time.

The explosion is believed to have occurred near the sandbar, according to the Miami Herald. Upon arrival, firefighters escalated the situation to a Level 2 Mass Casualty Incident, prompting more than 25 emergency units to respond, CBS News reported.
