A man has died after being stabbed in Leyton, east London, marking the 21st homicide in the capital this year. Police were called to North Birkbeck Road at 16:26 GMT on Tuesday, where they found the victim with multiple wounds.
Despite the efforts of officers and medics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 17:10. The Metropolitan Police has launched a murder investigation and is working to inform the victim's next of kin.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan expressed his condolences on Twitter, stating that his 'heart goes out' to the victim's loved ones. No arrests have been made yet, and police are appealing for witnesses.
