A man's body has been recovered following a large emergency response along the North Sea coast in Aberdeen. Emergency services were called to an area near the cliffs at Coast Road in the Cove area of the city at around 6.35am on Wednesday, September 2.
Multi-agency response launched
Three Coastguard Rescue Teams and two RNLI lifeboats, alongside resources from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Ambulance Service, were all sent to the scene following reports of concern for a person.
Police Scotland confirmed that the body of a man was recovered following the emergency response. Enquiries into his death are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40am on Wednesday, September 2, we received a report of concern for a person near Coast Road in Aberdeen.
“Emergency services attended and the body of a man was recovered. Enquiries are ongoing.”
An RNLI spokesperson said: “Aberdeen RNLI launched at 6.40 am on Wednesday, September 2, to a report of concern for a person near the Coast Road. Other emergency services are in attendance.”
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard said: “HM Coastguard was informed of an incident on the coast at Aberdeen at about 6.35am on September 2 and sent Stonehaven, Cruden Bay and Aberdeen Coastguard Rescue Teams; and two RNLI lifeboats from Aberdeen.
“Scottish Ambulance Service, Police Scotland, and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also attended.”
