A man's body has been discovered on the shoreline of a coastal village in Aberdeenshire. Emergency services responded to the scene near Rosehearty after concerns were raised for a person at approximately 1pm on Wednesday, August 5.

Police Scotland, the Scottish Ambulance Service, HM Coastguard, and RNLI all attended the incident, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
The Scottish Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances, a Special Operations Response Team (SORT), an air ambulance, and a critical care team to the location. HM Coastguard confirmed that rescue teams from Peterhead and Fraserburgh were sent to the shoreline, while RNLI Fraserburgh's lifeboat crew was also tasked to assist.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 1pm on Wednesday, August 5, we received a report of a person unresponsive at the shoreline near Rosehearty. Emergency services attended, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not believed to be suspicious, and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
