Police have launched a major manhunt for a suspect following the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Birmingham.
Teenager Dies at Scene in Acocks Green
Chris Ikouara, aged 19, was pronounced dead at the scene on Olton Boulevard East in the Acocks Green area. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, 13 January.
Emergency services rushed to an address on the street but were unable to save the young man. Specialist officers are now supporting his grieving family.
Appeal to Find Suspect Zachariah Liburd
Detectives from the West Midlands Police Homicide unit have issued a public appeal for help in locating Zachariah Liburd, aged 22. A photograph of Liburd has been released by the force.
In a direct statement, Detective Superintendent Jim Munro urged the suspect to turn himself in. "I would urge Liburd to do the right thing. Come forward before we find you," he said.
The detective also warned anyone who might be assisting the suspect. "If anyone is helping Liburd avoid us you should know you will also face arrest and prosecution," he added.
Ongoing Investigation and Public Appeal
Officers have been working tirelessly since the attack, speaking to witnesses and scouring local CCTV footage for clues. The investigation is progressing with several active lines of enquiry.
Police are now asking the public for any information, no matter how small it may seem, that could lead them to Zachariah Liburd. Authorities have assured that all information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence.
