Greater Manchester Police have issued an urgent public appeal after 25-year-old Muiz Olatunji escaped lawful custody. The force warned the public not to approach him and to call 999 immediately if sighted.
Suspect Description and Background
Olatunji, who has no fixed abode but is from Salford, is described as a black male of medium build, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with black Afro hair. He was previously charged with assault offences after allegedly attacking three custody officers and staff on New Year's Day earlier this year.
Police Appeal and Links
Police believe Olatunji may have links to Glasgow and Scotland, in addition to Greater Manchester. His current whereabouts remain unknown. The appeal urges anyone with information to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, dial 999.
“If you see him, do not approach him – call the police immediately,” the appeal stated.
