Police have launched a manhunt after a man was reportedly seen carrying out an indecent act in a wooded area in Livingston, West Lothian. The incident occurred between 11.30am and 12.30pm on Friday, August 21, near Chuckethall Road in the Deans area.
Description of the suspect
The man is described as white, around 5ft 6in tall, and of average build, with dark brown or blonde hair. He was wearing dark-coloured bottoms, a light silver or grey puffer-style jacket, and white running shoes.
Police appeal for witnesses
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could help their investigation to come forward. Sergeant David Sexton said: “Incidents of this nature can understandably cause concern for the local community and officers will be in the area carrying out enquiries and to provide reassurance.”
“We’re appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has information which could assist our investigation, to get in touch.”
How to provide information
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1349 of Friday, August 21. Information can also be passed to officers while they are on patrol in the area.
