Merseyside Police have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a man was stabbed in Liverpool city centre on Thursday afternoon.
At around 2.50pm on October 1, police received a report that two men were arguing by St John’s Shopping Centre. One man reportedly assaulted the other with a weapon before walking off with two women towards Church Street.
Victim taken to hospital
The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained puncture wounds to his abdomen and was taken to hospital for assessment.
Officers are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries to find the suspect. Pictures taken earlier this afternoon show the steps leading to the shopping centre and the old Radio City tower cordoned off by police.
Police release CCTV images
Police have released a series of images this evening of a man in a navy shirt and black tracksuit. The force says this man could help them with the investigation.
