A man is in hospital this evening (August 14) after a bus collided with a pedestrian in Leigh.
Incident details
St Helen's Road was cordoned off for much of the afternoon with a scene in place and multiple police vehicles at the scene near Pennington Hall Park.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a bus had collided with a pedestrian who had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the man was taken to Salford Royal Hospital via air ambulance.
St Helen's Road was closed for a number of hours.
