Man rushed to hospital after stabbing near Hackney school

A man has been rushed to hospital following reports of a stabbing near a primary school in Hackney. The victim, whose age has not yet been released, was found injured on Well Street shortly before 1.20pm today (August 26).

Emergency response on Well Street

Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance treated the man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre. His condition is currently unknown.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 1:18pm today (26 August) to reports of a stabbing on Well Street, Hackney, E9."

Treatment and transport

The spokesperson added: "We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. The first paramedic arrived in less than six minutes."

"We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority by road," they said.
