Myleene Klass has told a court she felt 'sheer terror' after an alleged stalker sent her an air pistol, handcuffs and a police uniform through the post. The 47-year-old TV and radio presenter was giving evidence at Birmingham Crown Court against Peter Windsor, 61, who denies stalking her and fellow Classic FM presenter Katie Breathwick between 2020 and 2024.
Klass, who was shielded from Windsor's view by a screen, became upset as she described learning that Royal Mail had intercepted an air gun addressed to her. 'It just felt extreme on every front,' she said, adding that a police officer told her the weapon could be fatal at close range. 'This was very clear what the intention was. There was no grey area here. It's a gun in a box with my name on it.'
The court heard that Windsor sent a note calling Klass a 'naughty vixen' and wrote to Breathwick suggesting they all go paddling in a lake while drinking champagne. Klass said she was shown a list of items and photographs of letters after being informed by her employer's security staff. 'It was a huge shock, especially the extent to which it had escalated,' she told prosecutor Timothy Sapwell.
Describing the overall context as 'pretty bleak', Klass added: 'It's a huge violation. It's sheer terror really.' Breathwick earlier told the court of her horror at receiving a DIY will-writing kit and other 'unhinged' mail from Windsor, which left her in fear for her safety.
The prosecution alleges the offending left both women worried about going to work. Windsor's defence argues his behaviour did not amount to stalking and that the women never asked him to stop, suggesting it was a publicity stunt. The trial continues.
