Murder Investigation Launched After Man Shot Dead in Litherland

A murder investigation has been launched after a 20-year-old man was shot dead at a house in Litherland, Merseyside. Police were called to a property on Harrington Road at around 23:00 BST on Tuesday following reports of a shooting.

The victim was shot through a window and was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Inspector Tracey Martin described the incident as a “violent and tragic killing” and urged any witnesses to come forward. “We are in the early stages of our investigation, but we believe this was a targeted attack,” she said.
