A man has been found dead inside a vehicle in the car park of a Morrisons supermarket in Bolton. Emergency services, including police, paramedics and fire crews, attended the scene on Blackhorse Street near the town centre on Wednesday morning, September 9.
Police confirm no suspicious circumstances
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said it received a report concerning the welfare of a man. Officers discovered the man deceased inside a car. The force stated that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, and a coroner's investigation is expected to follow.
A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 9.40am on 9 September, officers received a call regarding a concern for the welfare of a man on Blackhorse Street, Bolton. Sadly, a man was found dead in a car. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
Scene cordoned off and later reopened
A section of the car park was taped off, and firefighters erected a screen around the vehicle. Forensic specialists were also observed at the location during the afternoon. The area was subsequently reopened.
