A man has died after emergency services were called to a Boots store on a busy Glasgow city centre street.
Police were alerted to a concern for a man on Sauchiehall Street at around 9.10am on Wednesday, August 26.

Emergency crews attended the scene and the man was pronounced dead.

Part of the street has been cordoned off as officers deal with the incident, with the nearby Boots store also closed to customers.

Police Scotland said there were no further details available at this stage and enquiries are continuing.
A spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Wednesday, 26 August, 2026, we received a report of concern for a man at Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
