A man in his 20s has died following a shooting outside a pub in south-west London, despite the efforts of paramedics. The incident occurred near The Landor pub in Clapham, at the junction of Willington Road and Landor Road.
Emergency response
London Ambulance Service crews were called at 9.59pm on Monday 10 August to reports of a shooting on Landor Road, SW9. Paramedics arrived at the scene within three minutes, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 9.59pm on Monday 10 August to reports of a shooting on Landor Road, SW9. We sent resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and paramedics in fast response cars. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London's Air Ambulance. Our first paramedics arrived in three minutes. Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene."
Police investigation
Metropolitan Police officers remained at the scene on Tuesday, with a police cordon in place near The Landor pub. Residents reported hearing several loud bangs before sirens as emergency services arrived. Photos from the scene show a forensic tent set up as officers monitor the cordon.
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for comment.
