Gillingham: Man Charged with Murder after Pedestrian Killed by Stolen Car

A 25-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a pedestrian in Gillingham last week.

John O'Donohue, 33, died when a stolen Ford Mondeo was driven at him in Castlemaine Avenue on Thursday night. Police said he had been walking with a friend after arguing with two men in the car when he was run over.

Jake Austin, of Gillingham, was arrested in Swindon, Wiltshire on Monday and has since been charged with murder. He is due to appear in court.
