A 26-year-old man has been arrested following an alleged sexual assault during a concert by American rapper Gunna at the O2 Arena in London on Wednesday, March 25.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to the venue by management at around 8.20pm. The suspect had been detained by venue staff before being arrested by police. He remains in custody.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, was approached from behind by a man during the concert. She is now receiving support from specially trained officers.
In a statement on X, the Met Police said: 'The victim is receiving support from specially trained officers. The Met is prioritising the safety of women and girls across London.' The force added that it works closely with venues to provide awareness training for staff.
A spokesperson for the O2 Arena said: 'We are aware of an isolated incident that occurred inside the arena during Wednesday night’s event. Venue security and police attended promptly, and one individual was arrested. The matter is now being handled by the Metropolitan Police.'
