METROPOLITAN POLICE HAVE LAUNCHED A MURDER INVESTIGATION following the discovery of two women's bodies at a residential address in the heart of London on Tuesday.
The force was called to the property in Salisbury Street, Westminster, at approximately 15:00 GMT. Despite the efforts of emergency services, both women were pronounced dead at the scene.
A man, aged in his 20s, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation.
