A 42-year-old man has been arrested following an alleged rape in an alleyway opposite a police station in Worthing, West Sussex. The incident is believed to have occurred between 3am and 4am on Saturday in an alleyway between Chatsworth Road and the Guildbourne Centre.
Police have confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody. Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs, leading the investigation, stated that officers are providing support to the victim and maintaining a presence in the area as enquiries continue.
Authorities are appealing for anyone with information, including CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from Chatsworth Road between 3am and 4am on the day of the incident, to come forward. DI Jacobs urged the public to contact Sussex Police on 101 or online, quoting Operation Morley.
