A 52-year-old man has died after emergency services were called to an address in the south Wales village of Rhydyfelin, near Pontypridd in Rhondda Cynon Taf, on Sunday afternoon.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene in Shakespeare Rise, at the top of the village. South Wales Police described the death as "sudden" and said it is not being treated as suspicious.
Police confirm death
A South Wales Police spokesman said: "We can confirm the sudden death of a 52-year-old man at an address in Shakespeare Rise on Sunday afternoon (September 27)."
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the man’s next of kin has been informed."
Air ambulance response
A spokesman for the Wales Air Ambulance added: "I can confirm a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter attended an incident in that region on Sunday.
"Our Cardiff-based crew was allocated at 3.07pm and arrived at the scene at 3.29pm. Our involvement concluded at 4pm."
The man's next of kin have been informed.
