Man, 34, Killed in Willesden Crash; Murder Arrest Made

A 34-year-old man has died following a collision involving multiple vehicles in Willesden, north-west London. Ruben Nunes, from Peterborough, was pronounced dead at the scene on Chapel Close, near Willesden Magistrates' Court, at about 12:45pm on Wednesday, 3 December.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday, 4 December, and remains in custody.

Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams said: “This is a distressing incident and we understand the concern it will cause for the local community. Our thoughts are with Ruben’s family and friends at this difficult time.” He added that residents should expect an increased police presence in the area while the investigation continues.

The London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade also attended the scene. Despite efforts, Ruben Nunes was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is the second death in the London Borough of Brent in three days. On Monday, 1 December, Kevon Jenkins, 22, was charged with murder following a fatal stabbing on High Road, Wembley. He is due to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court.
