M60 traffic halted near Trafford Centre after police incident

Traffic has been stopped on the M60 due to a police incident. Officers are in attendance on the M60 clockwise between junctions 10 at the Trafford Centre and 11 at Eccles.

Queues and delays reported

National Highways says two miles of queues have built up on the approach. There are also long delays on the anticlockwise carriageway as drivers pass the scene, with queues backing up to junction 17 at Prestwich.

Official statement

A spokesperson for National Highways North West wrote on X: "Traffic is being held on the M60 clockwise between J10 and J11 near Trafford Centre due to a Police led incident. There are delays of 25 minutes and approx. 2 miles of congestion on approach to the incident. Please allow extra travel time. More info to follow."
