Lucy Letby Seen Laughing in Photos While on Bail for Baby Murders

New photographs have emerged showing Lucy Letby smiling and dancing at a friend's wedding while she was on police bail for the murder of babies. The images were revealed in an ITV documentary titled Lucy Letby: Beyond Reasonable Doubt?

The photos were shared by Dawn Howe, a childhood friend of Letby who attended Aylestone Secondary School in Hereford with her. Howe brought out a stash of pictures for the documentary, including snaps from her wedding, which took place while Cheshire Police were investigating Letby for the murders of eight infants.

Speaking on the programme, Howe said: 'Definitely got some holiday snaps, birthdays, holidays I’ve forgotten we even had. The wedding photos are definitely my favourite.' She added: 'There is Lucy at my wedding. I am just so glad she could be there because it was while she was on bail, she had to get special permission to be allowed to come from the police.'

One image shows Letby, wearing a red top and grey skirt, beaming while others clap on the dance floor. Another captures her throwing confetti as Howe walks past. Howe reflected: 'Shortly after this she was held in custody so… I don’t think Lucy has seen these.'

Letby was first arrested in July 2018 and charged in November 2020. She was found guilty across two trials of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder seven more. She is serving 15 whole-life sentences. Her friend Howe admitted feeling guilt for living a life Letby should have been living, saying: 'We should both be having families… there is so much guilt that I am sort of living a life that Lucy should also be living.'
