Comedian Lee Ridley, known as Lost Voice Guy, has spoken out about the difficulty of finding an accessible taxi in Cardiff after his recent performances there.
Frustration aired on Instagram
Ridley, who won Britain's Got Talent in 2018, took to Instagram on Sunday to express his disappointment. He had been performing at the Glee Club in Cardiff Bay on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8.
In his post, he said he called five different taxi companies and none could help. He had to wait at a taxi rank, hoping an accessible vehicle would arrive before he missed his train.
Call for better accessible transport
He wrote: "I love visiting Cardiff but getting an accessible taxi shouldn't be this difficult.
"I rang five different taxi companies and not one of them could help. I had to take a chance at a taxi rank hoping an accessible vehicle would turn up before I missed my train.
"This is the capital city of Wales. People shouldn't have to rely on luck just to get to the station. Accessible transport isn't a luxury. It's a basic part of being able to travel independently.
"I'll keep calling this out until it improves because disabled people deserve better than having to rely on luck just to get home."

Many followers sympathised with him in the comments. One said: "This is such a shame!" Another commented: "That's ridiculous, I'm so sorry this happened to you."
A third added: "I live in Wales and visit Cardiff all the time I totally agree with you." Ridley replied: "It's ridiculous in 2026!?"
