Police Hunt Driver After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Central London

Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after a fatal hit-and-run in a popular tourist area of central London. The incident occurred on Park Crescent, Marylebone, at approximately 7:35pm on Friday evening.

A man in his forties was struck by a car and taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. The driver did not stop at the scene and was seen hitting another vehicle after the collision.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have launched an urgent inquiry. Detective Sergeant Glen Mera appealed for witnesses, particularly anyone with dash-cam footage, to come forward.

“We are keen to speak with the driver,” DS Mera said. “If you have any information, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

The victim’s next of kin are being supported by specialist officers. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 7014/26SEP.
