A 44-year-old man is in a critical condition with life-threatening head injuries after a dispute with a group of youths in Leicester city centre. The incident occurred on King Street on Wednesday when the man, who was walking a rottweiler dog, became involved in an altercation with a member of the group.
Following the dispute, the victim fell to the ground and sustained severe head injuries. He was subsequently taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he remains in a critical condition.
A teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident. Police are continuing their investigations and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
