Woman, 78, Dies After Jaguar Crashes Into Her Coventry Home

A 78-year-old woman has died after a Jaguar car crashed into her home in Coventry. Barbara Howard was in her house on Shilton Lane when the vehicle struck the property shortly before 5pm on Thursday, July 17.

Emergency services rushed her to hospital, but she died shortly after arrival. West Midlands Police said the Jaguar had been involved in a collision with a Volkswagen van at the junction of Shilton Lane and Lentons Lane before hitting the house.

In a statement, Ms Howard's family described her as a “caring, sharing, glamorous, and stunning” woman who “loved life”. They added: “Dancing mother of Debbie and Julie, our best friend was taken in the most horrific way. We love her to the moon and back.”
