Inconclusive Post-Mortem Tests in Teen Holiday Park Deaths

Initial post-mortem examinations into the deaths of a teenage couple at a UK holiday park have proven inconclusive, police have confirmed. Ethan Slater, 17, and Cherish Bean, 15, died at the Liddle Eden Holiday Park in Bridlington on 17 February.

Humberside Police initially treated the deaths as unexplained while exploring the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning. Following the inconclusive post-mortem, additional testing will be required to establish the cause of death, though carbon monoxide poisoning remains a primary line of enquiry.

Three men arrested on suspicion of gross negligence have been released on conditional bail. A 27-year-old man was arrested on 21 February, alongside two other men aged 33 and 42. Detective Chief Inspector (name not provided) stated: 'This remains a highly complex and multi-layered investigation.'

In tributes released by police, Cherish's mother described her daughter as 'my world, my love, my everything' and said the family is 'broken'. Ethan's mother called him 'the most beautiful young man to walk the earth', adding that his smile was contagious.

Police continue to support the families with specialist officers and are reviewing all evidence to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths.
