Emergency crews are tackling a large fire at Dalton Mills, a 150-year-old textile mill in Keighley, West Yorkshire, that has been used as a filming location for Peaky Blinders and Downton Abbey.
The alarm was raised at approximately 8pm on Saturday, with flames engulfing the building on Dalton Lane. West Yorkshire Police and multiple fire engines from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene, and Dalton Lane has been closed to all vehicles.

West Yorkshire Police shared on Facebook: "Please be aware that Dalton Mills are currently on fire. Dalton Lane in Keighley is currently closed to all traffic, as our colleagues from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are working to bring the situation under control."
The force added: "We advise people to stay away from the area, and residents in the vicinity to keep all doors and windows closed."
Previous fires at the mill
Dalton Mills has been hit by multiple fires in the past four years. Over 100 firefighters tackled a major blaze in March 2022, and a further significant fire in July 2025 required 12 fire appliances. The mill was also damaged by a devastating fire in 2011.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service issued a statement confirming: "At approximately 8:00pm, we were called to a large fire involving Dalton Mills, Keighley. We currently have 12 fire engines at the incident as firefighters continue to tackle the large incident."
The service added: "Please avoid the area while emergency crews work at the scene. Residents nearby are advised to keep their windows and doors closed until further notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Further incident updates to follow."
