According to authorities, Abdullah confronted two teenage gunmen on Tuesday, exchanging fire and initiating lockdown protocols. His immediate actions delayed and deterred the attackers, preventing them from reaching the children. Police stated that his intervention prevented significantly worse casualties.

Other Victims

Suspects and Investigation

The gunmen, identified as 17-year-old Cain Clark and 18-year-old Caleb Vazquez, were later found dead a few blocks away from the scene due to self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Investigators believe the suspects were radicalized online, holding extreme religious and racial ideologies. Authorities have seized over 30 guns and a crossbow during their inquiry.
