Police investigating an alleged attack where a boy of 15 was stabbed in his back after stepping off a bus are appealing to the public to help trace two people.

The appeal follows a serious assault on the youngster moments after he stepped off a bus in Gorton at around 11.20pm on Monday June 1. The teen was allegedly attacked by two males.
The youngster suffered serious injuries 'consistent' with a knife attack, according to Greater Manchester Police. "Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening and he has since made a full recovery," the force said in a statement today as officers made their public appeal for information.
Suspect description
"One of the suspects is described as a black male, wearing a grey and green Manchester United coat with black trousers," said GMP.
Officers from GMP's Xcalibre Task Force, set up to tackle gang crime, are now appealing for information following the alleged 'Section 18' assault, also known as grievous bodily harm.

The force said in its statement: "Officers are looking to speak with two young men who we believe were there at the time of the incident and may help with our enquiries. One of them is described as a black male, wearing a grey and green Manchester United coat with black trousers."
"We believe this to be a targeted attack, which poses no wider risk to the public."
