Glasgow streets sealed off amid Queen's Park incident

Police have sealed off residential streets around Queen's Park in Glasgow amid an ongoing incident. Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, were called to the scene at 8pm on Monday.

Heavy police presence

A heavy police presence is in place on Pollokshaws Road, and blue tape has been erected around Balvicar Street and Queen's Drive, at the Queen's Park Hotel. The nature of the incident in the city's south side remains unknown.

Photos taken at the scene show multiple police vehicles and ambulances parked on the road. Uniformed officers appear to be stationed from Strathbungo to the opposite end of the popular park.

Witnesses gather

Police can be seen standing guard as the area around the Queen's Park Hotel is sealed off. Worried onlookers have gathered on the street as the incident and police response unfolds.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
