Police Scotland's Glasgow division issued a statement at 6:27am on X, saying: "Please be aware Glassford Street from The Trongate to Ingram Street is closed following a road crash. There is also no access to Royal Exchange Square – it is closed from the Buchanan Street, North Court Lane and Queen Street entrances. Please avoid the area."
