Four people have been taken to hospital after reports of a stabbing on a busy high street in Bromley, London. Emergency crews were called to Bromley High Street at 2.19pm today, September 10, following the incident.
Emergency response and hospital treatment
London Ambulance Service dispatched ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic to the scene, along with London’s Air Ambulance. All four patients were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2:19pm today (10 September) to reports of a stabbing on Bromley High Street, BR1.”
“We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.”
Road closures and traffic disruption
The police and fire service arrived at the scene at around 2.20pm, and Bromley High Street is now closed in both directions with a cordon in place. The incident has caused major traffic disruption, with 15 bus routes, including the 61, 119 and 208, diverted, and the Ringers Road bus stop closed.
