Five people have been treated for smoke inhalation following a house fire in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, in the early hours of Friday. Emergency services were called to Kingston Gardens at around 5.28am.
Fire Crews Respond
Four crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) attended the scene with a high-reach vehicle as smoke billowed over the housing estate. Firefighters remain at the two-storey home.
Video shared on social media showed smoke pouring from the roof. Five casualties were treated for smoke inhalation.
Public Reaction
Many people reacted online. One said: "Hope everyone is safe and they manage to put out the fire so there isn’t to much damage." Another added: "Oh my goodness, hope all are safe." A third wrote: "Hope everyone is ok, devastated for whosever house it is."

A SFRS spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 5.28am on Friday, 24 July to reports of a dwelling fire on Kingston Gardens, Ellon. Operations Control mobilised four appliances and a high-reach vehicle to extinguish a fire affecting a two-storey detached property. Five casualties were treated for smoke inhalation. Firefighters remain at the scene as they work to make the area safe."
