Greater Manchester Police made five arrests as 70,000 music fans attended sold-out headline gigs by The Cure and Lewis Capaldi at Wythenshawe Park over the weekend.
The Cure played on Friday (August 21) and Lewis Capaldi on Saturday (August 22), with a large policing operation in place as thousands descended on the outdoor venue.
Arrests mainly for alcohol offences
In an update issued on Monday, Greater Manchester Police said five arrests were made across the two days. A force spokesperson said the arrests were 'mainly for alcohol offences'.
Officers used Live Facial Recognition (LFR) technology as part of the policing operation, but no arrests were made as a result.
Traffic disruption and road closures
Chief Superintendent Danny O'Neil said: "There was some traffic disruption around the event.
"We would like to thank attendees, residents and motorists for their patience and encourage people to plan their journeys in advance when travelling in the area to avoid disruption."
He added: "There are planned road closures near to the event, so please check in advance when picking people up. There is a designated pickup location of Tesco Baguley, Altrincham Road, M23 9TJ"
Next weekend's line-up
Pulp, Courteeners and The Prodigy will play at Wythenshawe Park this coming weekend. Bee Network said previously that there will be as many double trams 'as possible' running every seven-and-a-half minutes to help fans get to and from the park.
