Fire crews have rescued a man after his car became stranded in floodwater beneath a bridge in the Marsh Gibbon area, near Bicester. The incident was reported at approximately 06:30 GMT on Sunday.
Firefighters from Bicester, Buckingham and Kidlington entered the water wearing drysuits and successfully rescued the man from his vehicle.
Drivers have been urged to take extra care, particularly in rural areas where flooding may be expected, following heavy rain over the weekend that has caused widespread flooding and travel disruption.
More than 60 flood warnings remain in place across England, indicating that flooding is expected in those areas.
