The family of a 16-year-old girl who tragically drowned in the River Tame on Bank Holiday Monday has paid a heartfelt tribute, describing themselves as 'forever heartbroken'.

Emergency services were called to the River Tame just before 6.10pm on May 25 following reports that a young girl had gotten into difficulty in the water. Despite a swift response, rescuers were unable to reach her in time. After approximately an hour of searching, the body of Lilliana Tomlinson was recovered from the water.
