Private Autopsy Reveals Three Gunshot Wounds in Minneapolis ICE Shooting Victim

A private autopsy has revealed that Renee Good, the unarmed US citizen killed by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis earlier this month, was shot three times. The findings, released late on Wednesday by lawyers representing Good's family, show wounds to her left forearm, right breast, and head.

The preliminary autopsy, conducted by independent pathologists, found that two of the three gunshot wounds were not immediately life-threatening. One struck her left forearm, while another entered through her right breast but missed major organs. A third shot hit the left side of her head near the temple and exited on the right side, according to the New York Times. A graze wound consistent with a firearm injury but without penetration was also noted.

The Good family's attorneys, Romanucci and Blandin, declined to release the full report but stated they would continue gathering evidence as part of a civil investigation. The findings align with incident reports and 911 call transcripts from the 7 January shooting, which described two apparent gunshot wounds to the right chest and a possible head wound with protruding tissue.

Good's death, which occurred as she acted as a legal observer of increased Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity, has heightened tensions in Minneapolis. The White House and Department of Homeland Security have claimed Good was a domestic terrorist who aimed her car at the agent, but video clips show she was steering away. State officials have expressed anger over being excluded from the FBI inquiry, which is now focusing on Good's widow and local Democratic leaders rather than the officer involved, Jonathan Ross.

The Justice Department has stated that available video evidence cleared Ross and that no criminal investigation is underway. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told Fox News that the department does not investigate based on political pressure. The lack of a federal investigation has led to a wave of prosecutor resignations, while the Trump administration continues to support increased immigration enforcement, which has resulted in clashes with protesters and arrests of US citizens.
